Lady Colts’ own Taylor Ferraro and Kathryn Sansom made PennLive’s Mid-Penn ‘Off-the-Radar’ girls basketball team that recognizes players who are impacting their teams positively “who, perhaps, were not in the headlines when the season began but have found a way to work themselves into them as the season has progressed”.

Taylor Ferraro
School: Cedar Cliff
Position: Guard
Class: Junior

Buzz: Known for being a speedy forward on the soccer field, Ferraro’s impact on the hardwood has been huge to the Colts’ undefeated start. Ferraro is tough as nails as she has a traditional like game within her scoring and setting others up for the best of baskets. The 5-foot-7 junior guard has also collected 51 steals, which accounts for third best within the Mid-Penn. Ferraro’s style of play will be crucial for the Colts as they head into the postseason in hopes of a deep run.

Kathryn Sansom
School: Cedar Cliff
Position: Forward/Center
Class: Sophomore

Buzz: While Olivia Jones has pushed the Colts to new heights this season, Kathryn Sansom’s impact has been much needed for Cedar Cliff. Coming immediately off the bench for Scott Weyant, Sansom has been an inside force collecting over 20 rebounds this season placing her in the top 10 in the Mid-Penn. No matter what role she plays any given night, Sansom is going to be special for many years to come.
